Louis De Poortere

As students we came up with an innovative stand for carpet manufacturer Louis de Poortere for a design competition and ended up receiving a prize.
The design is characterised by movement. This is symbolised by a number of winches that roll a red weight up and down and unfold a drawing in the back wall. The work is inspired by Ettore Sottsass’ work for Louis de Poortere and refers to the weaving machine in the factory.
