Open-air museum Bokrijk • 1993

The open-air museum of Bokrijk has a whole collection of everyday objects that appear in proverbs and sayings in Dutch. We were given the task of exhibiting these objects in an old barn. We came up with islands made of a material that suited the objects. Old candlesticks stood on an island made of candle wax. Pots and pans on a base of dried peas. Furniture was given a base of sawdust. Designed and build in collaboration with Huub Berger en Ick Reuvis.
