Frank Philippi, Fomu Antwerp, 15 10 2011 - 29 01 2012

Frank Philippi (B., Antwerp, 1921-Ostend, 2010) was a versatile professional photographer who specialised in innovative fashion and advertising photography in the post-war period. He was a founding member of G58 and practised almost all genres. Philippi gained recognition both in Belgium and abroad, where his artistic work was exhibited in numerous galleries, cultural centres and museums. His archive contains visual material of inestimable value for the cultural history of Belgium and Western Europe.
