Bamps verzameld

Stadsmus Hasselt • 6 february - 1 may 2016

After his death in 1907, the collection of historical Limburgensia of Doctor Bamps became dispersed throughout Europe in various (private) collections and museums. A team of Het Stadsmus, under the inspiration of Jo Rombouts, traced part of this collection. The search led to the Bibliothèque National (Paris). The story of the search, the character of the scientist-collector Bamps and his collection, is told in detail in Het Stadsmus.
