BELGICA@ANTARCTICA is a unique collection of photographs and instruments once belonging to Tony Van Autenboer, professor emeritus at UHasselt. Prof.dr. T. Van Autenboerwas a geologist and an expedition leader of several of the Belgian Antarctic Expeditions between 1957 and 1970. As one of the last explorers of the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration, with dog sledges and no radio contact, he explored the Sor Rondane region, the last uncharted big mountain range on planet earth.
